— I had the honor of helping shoot this beautiful elopement in the late fall. The whole evening was so intimate and personable, and exactly what Candice and Matt had envisioned when they had changed their plans to elope. We started off the evening at Lake Leatherwood for some portraits before the private ceremony at Thorncrown Chapel. This is a chapel that is every photographers dream, and I felt honored to witness their marriage become official in such a beautiful location. Elopements and micro weddings are now for sure a favorite of mine, and I hope they stick around post covid. They’re just so intentional and purposeful to the bride and groom, which is who it’s all about at the end of the day anyways. Shoutout to Laura Powers for allowing me to work alongside her on this special day.
